I am an intercalating fourth year medical student in the MSc Healthcare Ethics and Law at the University of Manchester. I have a special interest in plastic surgery with a view to becoming a transgender surgeon. However, explaining my choice of intercalated degree, I also enjoy sharpening my wit and persuasive rhetoric against the flint stone of philosophy, ethics and law.

In Doctors Academy I started off as co-organiser for the skills workshop on Wednesday of the International Medical Summer School 2011 with Leslie Cheng. Afterwards we developed Student Doctors Academy to its present embryonic form and are very excited to welcome our previous International Medical Summer School colleague, Natalie Roberts as our London President.

2. Leslie Cheng

I am between my 4th and 5th year of medical school (Manchester), intercalating on the MSc Cancer course at UCL. I have a particular interest in Oncology, thus explaining my choice of intercalation.

Apart from the general operation of sDA nationally and internationally, I am also particularly involved in London-based activities, and the running of this website.

I have previously been involved in organising the International Medical Summer School 2011 and also as a student moderator at the International Academic and Research Conference. By working alongside Doctors Academy, I hope to develop sDA as a useful platform to improve medical education.

3. Natalie Roberts aka. London representative

Being a third year medical student at RUMS, I am undertaking my intercalated BSc in Surgical Sciences. I will be working with Charlotte and Leslie to bring the best undergraduate sDA courses to London and hopefully pioneer some of our own, here in the Nation's Capital.

My experience with Doctors Academy includes the International Medical Summer School 2011.
