We are looking to offer one-to-one mentorship with clinicians with high achieving and motivated students. We advertise these "posts" and students apply for the specialty of their choice. These posts are competitive and we hope to pair you with one or two other students who gain the place.

Should you agree to this, all we require is your name, specialty and where you work.

We stress that this is an informal arrangement. There is no paperwork, no obligation to fulfill any objectives, no reports. It is wholly "no strings attached" and all we require is your expertise.

We understand that if you agree to become a mentor, much of the time spent with your students will be outside of normal working hours and we endeavour to make the opportunities when you meet your students as social and informal as possible.

The students will be set an objective to achieve a publication or national presentation with you which will be beneficial for both party's CVs.

Your role as a mentor is to:

• Advise on which audits/research is best to do in your field
• Advise on methodology, presentation style, best conferences to present at
• Cultivate your student and answer their questions about life as a consultant/registrar in your field
• Co-author their publication/presentation
