About Dr Nidhi Sagar

Dr Nidhi Sagar qualified in Medicine from the University of Birmingham, UK (http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/index.aspx), in 2007. Following this, she commenced her postgraduate training in Medicine in the West Midlands and passed her qualifying exams to become a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2010. She is currently working as a Specialist Registrar in Gastroenterology in the West Midlands Deanery.

As Associate Royal College Physician Tutor from 2009 to 2011, she assumed a personal responsibility for improving postgraduate education and training by organising and leading a national MRCP PACES Course in Birmingham which is held three times a year, in affiliation with Doctors Academy. Dr Sagar also maintains a strong academic focus and is currently an honorary research registrar at the highly reputed Queen Elizabeth Liver Unit in Birmingham (http://www.uhb.nhs.uk/liver-unit.htm ) where she is involved in a CORE grant application (for clinical Hepatology research in liver graft loss during the transition from paediatric to adult healthcare services). She continues to develop teaching resources for the MRCP Membership Examination within Doctors Academy.
