About Dr Sanjay Chaudhary | Dr Sanjay Chaudhary qualified in Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India. Subsequently, he completed a three-year residency programme in Internal Medicine from Muhlenberg Regional Medical Centre affiliated with the University of New Jersey, USA. He was soon selected to be the Chief resident of the Internal medicine program during which period he successfully completed the American Board of Internal Exam. He then undertook a three-year fellowship in Rheumatology, funded by the highly acclaimed National Institute of Health, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA. On successful completion of this fellowship programme, he was invited to join the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology in the capacity of a Clinical Assistant Professor at the same university. Dr Chaudhary has been actively involved in medical education and teaching throughout his career. In addition to presenting papers in various meetings in medicine and rheumatology, both in the USA and beyond, he has contributed to book chapters including the chapter on osteoarthritis in the prestigious Netter’s book of medicine. Dr Chaudhary is currently developing mechanisms to facilitate International exchange programmes for medical students and junior doctors between the USA and the developing world. |
