Surgical Anatomy and Viva Course for MRCS Part 3/Part B (OSCE)

LECTURES
  • Basic and applied anatomy of the head – PPT lecture 
  • Basic and applied anatomy of the neck – PPT lecture 
  • Basic and applied anatomy of the back – PPT lecture 
0920 – 1140 (with 20 minute break for refreshments): 
SMALL GROUPS DEMONSTRATION
  • Surgical anatomy of the head 
  • Surgical anatomy of the neck 
  • Surgical anatomy of the back 
  • Surgical anatomy of the pelvis and perineum 
Cross-sections, topographical and surface anatomy will also be demonstrated.  Appropriate radiographs and other imaging will be used as aids.

SMALL GROUPS TEACHING
  • Osteology of the clavicle, ribs and sternum 
  • Osteology of the vertebrae 
  • Osteology of the skull 
  • Osteology of the facial bones
