| | | | | | | | | | | | | | About Dr. David Miller | Dr. David Miller graduated from University of Nottingham Medical School (www.nottingham.ac.uk/mhs) in 1998, having additionally gained the degree of Bachelor of Medical Sciences in 1996 for his research in human anatomy. Following this, he undertook a Basic Surgical Training Programme in South Wales, gaining membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (www.rcsed.ac.uk) in 2002. On completion of a two-year post as a Clinical Research Fellow at the globally reputed Wound Healing Research Unit (www.whru.co.uk), he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) by University of Wales in 2004. Despite being competitively selected to the All-Wales Higher Surgical Training Programme, Dr Miller chose to pursue a career in General Practice due to his interest in community health and medical education.
Dr Miller’s research interests, amongst others, include diabetic foot ulceration and the spectrum of non-healing wounds. He has published and presented in a variety of UK National and International forums on topics related to wound healing, surgery and beyond. In addition to the core surgical specialties, Dr Miller’s hospital experience in the UK National Health Service includes Acute Medicine, Rehabilitation, Paediatric Surgery, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. His extensive exposure and knowledge in various clinical specialities helped him to secure membership (MRCGP) by exam from the Royal College of General Practitioners (www.rcgp.org.uk) as well as a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). |
